Ten years ago tonight the Sopranos came to an end. That final scene with Tony sitting with his family at Holstens, in Bloomfield, New Jersey. (by the way Holsten's was about three blocks from where I grew up. I was there all the time) Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" playing on the jukebox. The guy in the Member's Only Jacket walks into the restroom, Meadow walks in the restaurant and screen goes black.
I hope I"m not the only one that jumped out of his chair yelling, "..and the cable goes out now? Really?"
Was is the perfect ending or the worst ending of a series? Did Tony get whacked or did the Sopranos family just enjoy their onion rings and go home? I guess we'll never know.
