Deputy Is Suing Netflix Over “Making A Murderer” -
A now retired Wisconsin sheriff's detective is suing Netflix and the filmmakers of the docuseries “Making a Murderer”.
In a lawsuit filed yesterday, former Manitowoc [[ MAN-it-uh-wock ]] County Sheriff's Detective Andrew Colborn claims the series defamed him. Colborn says the production was edited to make it appear he and other law enforcement officers planted evidence to frame Steven Averyand his 16-year-old nephew, Brendan Dassey.
Among the claims in the filing, Colborn says "Defendants omitted, distorted, and falsified material and significant facts in an effort to portray plaintiff as a corrupt police officer who planted evidence to frame an innocent man.”
Avery and Dassey were convicted of the 2005 murder of freelance photographer Teresa Halbach, whose charred remains were found on Avery’s property.

Prince Harry Is Ending A Royal Opting Out Of A Royal Tradition To Honor His Bride -
In deference to Meghan Markle’s activism for wildlife, which includes being against hunting, Prince Harry is skipping a royal tradition this year.
The family usually goes on a Boxing Day pheasant shoot, a decades long tradition. This year Harry is opting out. Markle was recently praised by PETA for her work week vegan eating and no fur and leather policy. Her husband skipped the annual hunt last year as well.
An insider notes that Harry’s hunting days are now over. He was to have gone on the trip with brother Prince William and sources say skipping it is adding to the men drifting apart.
Kensington Palace says there is no family issue.

ALFONSO RIBEIRO: Claims Fortnite Stole Carlton Dance
The hugely popular online video game Fortnite is known for its characters' crazy dance moves. So was one of them ripped off from actor Alfonso Ribeiro?
The former cast member of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air has filed suit, claiming the game's "Fresh emote" move is a copy of his famous Carlton Dance. (Carlton Banks was his character on the Will Smith vehicle.)
Alfonso's attorney, David Hecht, tells TMZ, "Epic has earned record profits off of downloadable content in the game, including emotes like 'Fresh.' Yet Epic has failed to compensate or even ask permission from Mr. Ribeiro for the use of his likeness and iconic intellectual property."
Alfonso also says he's trying to copyright the Carlton dance.
