TODDLER "FIGHT CLUB": St. Louis Day Care Center Sued

A St. Louis day care center has been sued for allegedly encouraging its toddler students to brawl in a miniature version of "fight club," according to video of the fighting released Wednesday and a lawsuit filed by a mother of one of the students.

According to Nicole Merseal, her four-year-old son and another child were told by teachers Tena Dailey and Mikayla Guliford to duke it out at the Adventure Learning Center back in December 2016.

In the video, Merseal's son and the other child put on Incredible Hulk hands before stepping into the ring to punch it out while the other kids and teachers watch.

One of Merseal's other sons captured the action on his iPad and she called police. The teachers, who have since been fired, claimed they "were bored" and "ran out of things to do."

The Google Walkout Over Sexual Harassment Case Handling Is Today

About 15-hundred Google employees, most of them women, are planning to walk off their jobs today to protest the company's handling of sexual harassment allegations.

Workers are upset that the company paid millions of dollars in exit packages to male executives who were accused of harassment and did not disclose what they did. Android co-founder Andy Rubin’s 90 million dollar exit package is what spurred the movement.

The walkout organizers are demanding that Google make five concrete changes to its company policy:

  • An end to forced arbitration in cases of harassment and discrimination.
  • A commitment to end pay and opportunity inequity.
  • A publicly disclosed sexual harassment transparency report.
  • A clear, uniform, globally inclusive process for reporting sexual misconduct safely and anonymously.
  • Elevate the Chief Diversity Officer to answer directly to the CEO and make recommendations directly to the board of directors. In addition, appoint an employee representative to the board.

The walkout is expected to take place at almost two dozen different offices around the world. Google has 94-thousand employees.
