Tropical Storm Michael Forms And Heads For Florida -
Hurricane season isn’t over yet. Florida Governor Rick Scott is declaring a state of emergency for parts of the state ahead of Tropical Storm Michael's arrival. Michael, developed quickly yesterday & is just southwest of Cuba. It's expected to move north and could make landfall on the Florida Panhandle by Wednesday as a category two hurricane.
Scott warned that it's possible the storm could be stronger when it hits. He also said people across Florida need to be prepared because Michael could change directions and impact any part of the state.
UN Panel Warns Global Warming Can’t Be reversed After 2030 -
A UN panel says the world must take unprecedented action by 2030 or face a global disaster from climate change.
The UN Intergovernmental Panel on climate Change says 2030 looks to be the tipping point where global temperatures will reach nearly three degrees above pre-industrialization levels. That'll drive up the risk of drought, floods and starvation for millions.
The key number to remember 2.7 degrees above pre-industrial levels. That is what the planet cannot be above. The panel says CO-2 emissions need to drop at least 45 percent in order to slow the pace of warming.
Pompeo Has Successful Meeting With North Korean Leader -
President Trump is praising the meeting between Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
In a tweet over the weekend, Trump said "progress made on Singapore Summit Agreements! I look forward to seeing Chairman Kim again in the near future." Pompeo met with Kim in Pyongyang for about two hours Sunday, calling their meeting a "good, productive conversation."
Reports say the North Korean leader has agreed to allow inspectors into a key nuclear testing site. Pompeo said Kim also agreed to try and hold a second summit with President Trump as soon as possible.

Interpol Chief Didn’t Disappear -
The head of Interpol is resigning as he remains detained in China amid a corruption investigation.
The Chinese government confirmed yesterday that it had Meng Hongwei in custody, days after he was reported missing by his wife. He had been on a flight from France to Beijing when he disappeared.
Meng also works as a minister of public security in China and is accused of taking bribes. Interpol, the agency which coordinates communication between police agencies around the globe, announced Meng's resignation is effective immediately.
Meng is accused of bribery and other crimes. He’s the latest target of the Chinese government’s crackdown on corruption and disloyalty to the president.

REI Is Going To Be Closed Again For Thanksgiving And Black Friday -
When REI says they want their employees to put family first, they aren’t kidding.
The retailer started #OptOutside in 2015 and this year the campaign continues. #OptOutside is REI’s decision to close on Thanksgiving and Black Friday, which gives employees and shoppers a chance to be with family.
The company says doing outdoor activities with those you love is the goal here. In a statement, CEO Jerry Stritzke says “Since launching #OptOutside, we’ve watched more than 200 retailers go out of business. It has been a period of enormous change in retail. We've stayed healthy partly because we’ve stuck with our core values -- like giving our employees time to do what they love with the people they love during the holidays. “
