There Are More Storms Than Florence In The Atlantic -
Everyone may be buzzing about Hurricane Florence getting ready for a U.S. landfall, but there are more storms brewing in the Atlantic.
First up, hurricane Isaac. He is a minor storm and will approach Puerto Rico on Thursday. Luckily, it will be below hurricane force when it gets there. The there’s Helen. She’s a good sized storm, but won’t threaten the U.S. There is another disturbance close to the coast, but it looks as if the impact won’t be big and it won’t be named.
In the Pacific, Tropical Storm Olivia, once a hurricane, is headed to Hawaii but isn’t expected to pack a punch.
Welcome to peak cyclone season.
The Vatican is Expected To Respond To Blistering Letter About Abuse Cover Ups -
After keeping silent during the release of a scathing letter, the pope may be preparing to talk.
Top advisers for Pope Francis say the Vatican is preparing to respond to bombshell accusations made by an Italian archbishop. In an 11-page statement published in August, archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò accused the pontiff of covering up sexual misconduct by former U.S. cardinal Theodore McCarrick.
Pope Francis has refused to comment on Viganò's statement, and said the statement speaks for itself. The 88-year-old McCarrick resigned in July after being accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy nearly 50 years ago.
A Vatican investigation onto McCarricks’ rise to power is being requested.

Protesters March Through Downtown Dallas -
Protesters are calling for justice after an unarmed black man was fatally shot by a Texas police officer.
At least 100 protesters marched through Downtown Dallas yesterday, demanding justice in the death of 26-year-old Botham Jean. As we told you, Officer Amber Guyger was arrested over the weekend on a manslaughter charge after shooting Jean inside his apartment last week. She claimed she thought she was in her own apartment when she came across the victim.
The protesters stopped at the apartment where Jean was shot, then started towards I-30. That’s where police stopped them from disrupting traffic by shooting what appeared to be peeper pellets at the crowd.

SEPTEMBER 11TH: Trump in Pennsylvania
President Trump takes on the role of consoler-in-chief today.
He and first lady Melania Trump will be in western Pennsylvania today at a 9/11 memorial ceremony near Shanksville, where one of the four hijacked planes crashed after a struggle with passengers. He'll deliver a formal speech, and the ceremony will include the sounds of the Tower of Voices, a 93-foot structure with a distinct wind chime for each passenger aboard United flight 93.
In New York, a ceremony at the World Trade Center memorial will keep with tradition: no speeches, and a reading of each of the names of the more than 2900 people who perished in the collapse.

Study: E-Cigs Deliver Cancer Causing Chemicals Into The Body -
A new study on e-cigarette use shows that a significant amount of cancer-causing chemicals are absorbed into the body while vaping.
Researchers at the Desert Research Institute and the University of Nevada analyzed the breath of 12 people before and after vaping to determine how much the concentration of aldehydes in the breath would increase.
The researchers found that the concentration was over 10 times higher after normal vaping behavior. They suggest that those cancer-causing chemicals are being absorbed by the lungs and respiratory tract.
