40th Annual YMCA Book Fair happens at Greensfelder Recreation Center located inside Queeny Park, Friday, August 17 through Tuesday, August 21, 2018...On Friday, August 17, there is a $10 donation to enter the fair. Each day following, admission to the Fair is free of charge!Our Annual YMCA Book Fair is the largest single fundraising event for the Gateway Region YMCA. Proceeds from the Book Fair support the Y's cause of strengthening communities. Every day the Y is able put staff and volunteers in our community to deliver life-changing programs to thousands of Gateway Region residents.


Festival of the Little Hills is Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Frontier Park in St. Charles

This popular festival, now in its 47th year, is at the base of the “little hills” that gave the city of St. Charles its original name, Les Petites Côtes. Main Street and Frontier Park on the Missouri Riverfront come alive with more than 300 vendors, craft demonstrators and antique dealers. More than 50 nonprofit groups sell food and drinks, making this event a major fundraiser for their individual goals. Trixie Delight headlines Friday, and Dr. Zhivegas headlines Saturday evening.

Saint Louis Zoo - Jungle Boogie Concert Series

Join us for the Jungle Boogie Friday Night Concert Series presented by Mid America Chevy Dealers, Fridays, 5 to 8 p.m., May 25–August 31, 2018. Located at Schnuck Family Plaza in the center of the Zoo. Admission to Zoo and concerts is free. Please feel free to bring a lawn chair to ensure you have a seat. All ages can enjoy music on the outdoor stage in the center of the Zoo. In addition to the music, there will be animal-related kid’s activities focusing on the conservation of endangered species through the Zoo’s WildCare Institute.

Enjoy craft beer, wine and more from our outdoor bar in the plaza. The Zoo's central dining locations will be open offering many snack and dinner options.


Midnight Piano Band

The Midnight Piano Band is a throwback to the days before DJs dominated the radio.  With no smoke and mirrors, lip-syncing or modern gimmicks, the Midnight Piano Band is a celebration of the good old days when bands played their instruments and sang on stage. The band loves playing classic piano rock hits from the 70s and 80s, featuring artists like Elton John, Billy Joel, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and many more.

Destination Moon

In the 1960s, President John F. Kennedy  ignited the spark that launched the program which landed and safely  returned the first person to set foot on the surface of the Moon. 

Now, as we approach the 49th  anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s momentous “one small step,” the  excitement of the space race comes to the Saint Louis Science Center for  Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission.

The traveling special exhibition from  the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Services (SITES) and  the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.  features the command module Columbia that orbited the Moon, as well as other artifacts from the first successful lunar mission.
