August 6 -14, Six Flags St. Louis will host our annual Back To School Supply Drive to benefit KidSmart.

We ask guests to bring 5, new and unopened, school supplies during this time and as a thank you guests can purchase a ticket for just $29.99 to get into the park. KidSmart opens their doors for teachers so they can shop for free school supplies for their students in need.  

This is a great drive and each year receives amazing support from our guests, bringing in over 20,000 supplies.

JCC Summer Used Book Sale happens this weekend! 

*Apps are great, but there's nothing like the feel of a real book! Book lovers, collectors and avid readers all anticipate this annual event. Thousands of titles include mystery and intrigue, novels, biographies, politics, religion, sports, cookbooks, history, animals, art, science, science fiction, business, women's issues, foreign languages, gardening, poetry, psychology, self-help, humor...the list goes on!

Line ticket sales will begin at 9 a.m. Sunday, August 12th. Doors Open at 10am. Children 16 and under are free. There is no cost to shop the remaining days of the book sale. On Thursday, August 16th buyers can take advantage of Bag Day...fill a bag of books for $5

Named "Best Way to Celebrate St. Louis" by the Riverfront Times, this partnership between the Gateway Arch Park Foundation and the National Blues Museum brings renowned blues artists to the Arch grounds for free concerts in August. Destination Moon

In the 1960s, President John F. Kennedy  ignited the spark that launched the program which landed and safely  returned the first person to set foot on the surface of the Moon. 

Now, as we approach the 49th  anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s momentous “one small step,” the  excitement of the space race comes to the Saint Louis Science Center for  Destination Moon: The Apollo 11 Mission.

The traveling special exhibition from  the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Services (SITES) and  the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.  features the command module Columbia that orbited the Moon, as well as other artifacts from the first successful lunar mission.
