Wildfires Torch More California Land With No End In Sight -
The largest wildfire in California's history has topped over 300-thousand acres.
Fire crews are finally beginning to get more control over the two fires forming the Mendocino Complex Fire, which has burned over 302-thousand acres in Northern California. The larger of the two blazes is the Ranch Fire, which has burned over 253-thousand acres and is now 46-percent contained.
The River fire is over 80-percent contained. Even with containment going up, fire crews may not have it completely contained until September. The other giant of the 18 wildfires burning in California is the deadly Carr Fire. It's burned over 176-thousand acres near Redding and is 47-percent contained.
Seven deaths have been attributed to the Carr Fire, including two firefighters. Two-thirds of the state are covered in smoke from the blazes.

Frontier Airlines Diverts Kids…Doesn’t Tell Parents -
Parents have lawyered up after their children’s Frontier Airlines flight got diverted from Orlando to Atlanta and no one told them.
Jennifer Ignash was waiting at Orlando International Airport for kids Etta, 7, and Carter, 9, to land on the flight from Des Moines, Iowa. The July 22 flight then diverted to Atlanta as Orlando’s airport had shut down due to weather. Ignash tried to talk with someone from Frontier, but couldn’t and it wasn’t until shortly after midnight that Carter called his dad, Chad Gray.
The family says their kids and four other children stayed in a room at the Atlanta airport for a few hours before being taken to a hotel by a Frontier employee. Gray says they were only given rice krispie treats.
A spokesman for Frontier says the kids were in contact with their parents, always accompanied by a supervisor and were provided food. He said the safety of all passengers is a top priority. The children were given a McDonald’s voucher for breakfast before boarding an Orlando flight the next day. Gray says the airline has yet to talk with him.
The children are fine, but Gray notes Carter has had a few nightmares.
