A lot of viewers need a drink after watching the ultra-violent, super-dark Hulu series A Handmaid's Tale -- but you won't be able to knock back wine with a connection to the show.

Producers had announced plans to market wines inspired by the female characters on the show -- including Offred, portrayed by Elisabeth Moss; Ofglen, played by Alexis Bledel; and Serena Joy, played by Yvonne Strahovski.

But folks on social media didn't take kindly to the idea, lashing out with hundreds of comments like:

  • “Can you turn rape into marketing copy?"
  • "The secret ingredient is roofies."
  • “I’m starting to think that aliens have released a chemical into our water supply that is slowly making the entire world stupid."

So just hours after announcing plans to sell the vino, Lot 18 Wines said it wouldn't be going forward with the line. (Huffington Post)

Geraldo Rivera's often-troubled son won't serve any jail time after pleading guilty to charges of assaulting and choking his girlfriend earlier this year.

The 30-year-old will go to jail for six months if he doesn't complete anger management classes and stay away from the victim.

The wrestler-turned-actor tells Vanity Fair, “Unfortunately I don’t see it happening in 2020. It’s a position that requires years of hard work and experience to learn the skills. I have so much respect for the position. It’s something that I seriously considered. What I need is time to go out and learn.”

Hiram Garcia, who runs the Rock's business ventures, gave fans some hope, saying, “You never know what will happen with Dwayne. Nothing is impossible for him."

Tori Spelling is hammering the Four Seasons hotel chain over an injury to her toddler son -- who she says stepped on exposed nails at one of its locations.

Tori went onto Instagram late Tuesday to share her fears about the health of 15-month-old Beau, writing, “In the kids' arcade room, my 15-month-old got stabbed by four exposed nails that shouldn’t have been there, and all that was done was ‘Is he OK?’ So wrong on many levels. And I never call anything out! Not my style. But, not cool @fourseasons! Does he need a tetanus shot?”

Us Weekly magazine reached out to the hotel for comment and received a statement saying "The team was in touch with Ms. Spelling throughout her stay. Out of respect for the privacy of our guests, we do not share information about our guests or their time with us.”

Talk About It:

  • Don't they have staff on hand to monitor kids' spaces?
  • At the very least, the family is getting some serious comp action.
  • Tori can be a drama queen, but this sounds pretty serious.

  • Kylie Jenner is on the cover of Forbes’ “American Women Billionaires” issue.
