Ben Stiller has been named a United Nations goodwill ambassador.
According to the New York Daily News, the star "will work with the UN Refugee Agency, also known as the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and local governments to 'address the full scope of forced displacement, from its root causes, strengthening asylum and protection systems and working on durable solutions.'"
Ben says, “I for one will do what I can as a goodwill ambassador for UNHCR, to advocate for refugees and encourage others to join me.”
This comes shortly after the actor visited Guatemala, where he met with families who had fled their homes because of gang violence.
Filippo Grandi, the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, says, “Ben will be a great goodwill ambassador. I have witnessed personally his commitment to the world’s refugees and his extraordinary capacity to talk about the complicated issue of displacement in a manner that is clear, passionate and convincing.”

John Malkovich Joins Jude Law In “The New Pope” -
it isn’t often John Malkovich takes on a role, but when he does, you know it’s worth seeing.
The actor has signed on to join HBO’s “The New Pope” which is the follow up series to “They Young Pope.” Jude Law co-stars and it’s unknown what type of role malkovich will play. That is being kept under wraps along with the plot.
The series is expected to continue to follow the adventures of the fictional first American Pope (Law).

Weinstein could face life behind bars
*Harvey Weinstein - was hit with additional sex crime charges on Monday tied to a new, third accuser that could send him to prison for life. After the unnamed woman testified before a grand jury on Friday, Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. got new indictments against the producer for a forcible sexual act in 2006 — and with a third accuser establishing a pattern, was able to add two counts of predatory sexual assault. That means Weinstein could face life behind bars.
Joe Jackson Buried In Same Cemetery As Michael -
Joe Jackson is now buried at the same cemetery as his son Michael Jackson. The 89-year-old was laid to rest at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California today during a private funeral.
Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson's children Prince and Paris, and other family and friends were in attendance. Joe Jackson passed away from pancreatic cancer on June 27th. He and Michael Jackson were estranged, and the late pop icon had left him out of his will.

Stan Lee’s Former Business Partner Pleads Not Guilty To Filing False Reports -
The elder abuse situation with Stan Lee is getting a bit more interesting.
The Marvel Comics legend’s former business manager Keya Morgan was charged, in Los Angeles, for filing false police reports. On May 30, he called authorities alleging that three strangers had locked security out of Lee’s house in the Hollywood Hills and may have been harming the 95-year-old”Black Panther” creator. Two police officers and a social worker from the Los Angeles County Adult Protective Services performed a welfare check on Lee.
The next day, Morgan made a second 911 call after a security guard allegedly refused to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The business manager drew a heavy police response the security guards were then cleared.
Morgan is now under investigation for elder abuse, which can be physical or financial, and Lee filed a restraining order against Morgan. At one point, the legend said, in a vide shot by Morgan. “My only partner and business manager is @KeyaMorgan not all the other people making false claims.”
