FAMILY SEPARATION: Federal Judge Orders Child-Parent Reunions Within 30 Days
Hours after a Trump administration official said that reunions between migrant parents being detained and their children wouldn't take place any time soon, a California federal judge issued a preliminary injunction ordering all children affected by Trump's "zero-tolerance" policy to be reunited with their parents within 30 days.
In the strongly worded opinion, U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw of San Diego wrote "the facts set forth before the Court portray reactive governance – responses to address a chaotic circumstance of the Government's own making. They belie measured and ordered governance, which is central to the concept of due process enshrined in our Constitution."

Political Newcomer Boots Democrat Incumbent In NY Primary Shake Up -
There's a big shakeup in New York politics as a result of yesterday's primary in that state.
Longtime Congressman Joe Crowley has lost his bid for another term. He was defeated in the primary by 28-year-old activist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Ocasio-Cortez was an organizer for former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders and has no other political experience.
The 56-year-old Crowley represents New York's 14th congressional district, which includes parts of the Bronx and Queens. He was projected to be the Speaker of the House if Democrats take that chamber back in Congress during the November elections.
Ocasio-Cortez campaigned on universal Medicare and abolishing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). With most of the primaries around the country done, she’s the first progressive to unseat an incumbent.
President Trump is reacting to the defeat on Twitter, called it "a big one that nobody saw happening." He also suggested that had Crowley been more supportive of his policies, he would've been more successful.

North Korea Is Upgrading A Nuclear Facility -
There are reports North Korea is rapidly improving its nuclear research center, after declaring a commitment to denuclearization.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made that promise at his summit with President Trump in Singapore earlier this month. Trump said last week that total denuclearization is already taking place. But the respected website 38 North, which monitors North Korea, reports recent satellite images show operations are continuing at the Yongbyon nuclear center.
And the website says infrastructure improvements are continuing at a rapid pace. They include a new cooling water pump house, multiple new buildings, completed construction on a cooling water reservoir and an apparently active Radiochemical Laboratory.
It’s noted that until the leader gives orders, improvements will continue as usual.

Accidental Hijacking Code Sent From JetBlue Flight At JFK Sparks Massive Response -
A mistaken report of a hijacking prompted police to swarm a departing JetBlue flight out of New York's JFK Airport.
It happened as Flight 1623 was positioning for takeoff to Los Angeles around 7:30 p.m yesterday. The JetBlue pilot had intended to report a problem with the plane's radio equipment, but instead wound up using a code for hijacking. This five minutes after the tower lost communication with the plane.
A group of heavily-armed Port Authority police officers stormed into the plane and evacuated everyone safely. The pilot, at one point, held up a piece of paper with his phone number on it so they could call and hear him explain what happened. The FAA is investigating.

“Permit Patty” Is A CEO And Has Now Stepped Down -
One moment of bad judgement can end a career these days.
"Permit Patty" is no longer the CEO of her medical marijuana company Treatwell Health. A spokesperson for the business says Allison Ettel has resigned, effective immediately, after backlash from a viral video. The white San Francisco woman dubbed "Permit Patty" purportedly called 9-1-1 to complain about an eight-year-old African American girl selling bottled water.
The girl was reportedly trying to raise money for a trip to Disneyland. Ettel said he move was not racially motivated, but the result of the child and her parent being loud. She also said she actually did not call police, which was confirmed.
Some dispensary owners say they have stopped buying Treatwell products, and they will give the proceeds from the sale of any Treatwell Health products remaining on their shelves to charity.
