ACLU Gets Gift On Trump’s Birthday - Even though it’s meant to make a statement against the president, the ACLU is happy to take one donation.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are donating nearly 300-thousand dollars to the American Civil Liberties Union for President Trump's birthday. Teigen wrote on Instagram yesterday that they are giving 72-thousand dollars for each of the four members of their family in recognition of Trump turning 72.
The donation comes out of spite of Trump's zero-tolerance immigration policy that has led to the separation of immigrant parents and their children. Teigen said she and Legend are "outraged" that families are being split up, and that Trump's actions go against everything she and Legend believe the U.S. should represent.Source: The Hill
