*At Eureka’s Board of Aldermen meeting officials are reconsidering the town’s pit bull ban. Supporters at the meeting suggested that bad behavior is not just isolated to pit bulls. The board decided not to repeal the ban but voted to review the city's wording.
The White House official who mocked Senator John McCain in a private meeting last month is out.
Kelly Sadler, a White House communications aide, reportedly joked, "It doesn't matter, he's dying anyway," when discussing the ailing senator's opposition to President Trump's CIA director nominee Gina Haspel. The comment was leaked by someone in the closed-door meeting and it started a firestorm of criticism. White House Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah announced in a statement that Sadler "is no longer employed within the Executive Office of the President."

The death toll from the destructive Fuego volcano in Guatemala has risen to 75, with close to 200 people still missing. The volcano erupted on Sunday and then exploded again yesterday. It's the volcano's largest eruption since 1974. Hundreds of people have been injured and thousands have evacuated their homes as nearby towns are blanketed in ash and molten lava. Rescuers are still searching for trapped survivors but the likelihood of finding anyone is becoming slim and the death toll is expected to rise.
