*Police in Festus are looking for the person putting razor blades in the handles of shopping carts. For the second time a razor blade was found at an area Walmart.  It's usually placed on the bottom side of the cart handle.  Police do think this wasn't done to intentionally harm anyone, instead they believe its from a shoplifter using the blade to cut off tags or open packages.


*Good news for lottery players in Illinois, the state budget impasse is over, the Illinois Lottery announced Thursday it would resume sales of Mega Millions and Powerball tickets.


*MODOT is closing a ramp that could impact you if you travel on EB 44.  Crews plan to close all but one lane of the ramp from EB 44 to 141 at 7 p.m. Friday, July 7. Three hours later, the ramp will fully close.



*“Bloomberg: U.S. Powerplants Are Serious Hacker Targets-

U.S. officials say at least a dozen power plants have been breached by hackers working for a foreign government.  Sources tell "Bloomberg" that the chief suspect is Russia. The officials warn the attackers could be positioning themselves to eventually disrupt the nation's power supply, and noted that a general alert was distributed to U.S. utilities a week ago.  The new round of breaches began in May.

*A Delta Airlines flight from Seattle to Beijing was forced to turn around and return to Seattle after a first-class passenger attacked a flight attendant.  According to the airline, the 23-year-old passenger started arguing with the flight attendant about 45 minutes into the flight and then became physical. Other passengers stepped in and restrained the man until the plane landed back in Seattle, then police boarded the plane and handcuffed him.  The flight attendant and one other person were injured and taken to the hospital.

*Steve Scalise Undergoes Surgery For Infection -

House Majority WhipSteve Scalise [[skall-EESE]] is out of surgery for an infection during his recovery from a gunshot wound.  The MedStar Washington hospital says the Louisiana congressman "tolerated the procedure well" and that he remains in serious condition.
