The City Of Chicago May Be Sued Over The United Airlines Incident-
The Chicago officers who manhandled a United Airlines passenger last weekend may help take the financial wind out of the Windy City.
The passenger dragged from a plane in Chicago by the officers suffered a concussion, broken nose, lost teeth and sinus injuries and will undergo reconstructive surgery. The attorney for Dr. David Dao [[ DOW ]] said there will "probably" be a lawsuit against United. He also said the City of Chicago bears some responsibility because the officers who ejected Dao worked for the city.
The doctor’s attorney Thomas Demetrio has already filed a motion that any evidence in the case be preserved and has said "If you're going to eject a passenger, under no circumstances can it be done with unreasonable force or violence. That's the law," he said. "For a long time, airlines -- United, in particular -- have bullied us. ... We want respect and we want dignity. That's it. Not a big deal."
