*The intersection of Olive and Ross Road is open again after crews had to shut down the intersection because of a downed power line. Reports say there was an accident that caused the power lines to fall across the intersection.
Homicide detectives were investigating a South City retirement center called the "Carondelet Retirement Manor" this morning. Reports says a body was found but police have not said anything else about the person who died. The Medical examiner is said to have called police.
*Chinese social media is lighting up after a man who was bumped from a United flight over the weekend said he was dragged off the plane because he's Chinese.
The video that's gone viral is the top trending topic today on China's answer to Twitter. Most users have expressed shock and anger and some are calling for a boycott of United. Chinese-American comedian Joe Wong said the man who said he was bumped for being Chinese deserves a "thumbs up." Wong says Western mainstream media and the public don't take discrimination against Asians seriously.
*North Korea is sending a strong message in response to the U.S. deploying more warships near the Korean peninsula. The North Korea foreign minister said that the country will defend itself "by a powerful force of arms" and warns of “war” if similar shows of military moves are displayed. Leaders in North Korea added that they see this increase of ships and other warships as a preparation for an invasion. The U.S. Pacific Command has said the increased presence is to maintain readiness in the region.
