*A local animal rescue group, is asking for the public’s help after a puppy was stolen from an adoption event at the Brentwood Pet Smart Saturday afternoon. All New Hope Rescue says the puppy is 10-weeks-old, female that's a brown Beagle mix with a black muzzle and has a fresh scar from a spay surgery. The rescue group said three men came into the store that afternoon and gave workers an uneasy feeling. The suspect took off in a white or silver Chevrolet Impala. Brentwood police are investigating and the rescue group is asking everyone to be on the lookout for the puppy.

*The work to replace Flint’s water infrastructure just got a boost. 100-million was tapped to go to the city last year by former President Barack Obama has now officially been awarded to Flint. In 2014, Flint’s water system was shown to have shocking levels of lead after restarting its water system when they were cut off from using the Detroit system. The struggling town’s pipes were found to be severely deficient.
