*Lacrosse players and swimmers O'Fallon Township High School urged district leaders to save their sports! The high school is considering cutting those sports in an effort to save money. Superintendent Dr Darcy Benway says nothing has been decided but this year there's a $1.7 million deficit & next year its $2.3 millions. Other options include cutting staff, including teachers, and increasing class sizes.
*The Kirkwood City Council met yesterday but they did not vote on plans for The Magic House to expand. The children's museum wants to add 40 parking spaces and 5,200 square feet in building improvements. The council has to give approval first because the Magic House needs its special use permit amended to move forward with the plans. Kirkwood officials said the plan will be discussed at a meeting on March 2.
*3 lottery tickets, each worth at least $1 million, were sold around the area just in the past week! One was sold at the Beverly Hills Grocery & Liquor on Natural Bridge. Another one at the Parker BP on Benham road and the one we told you about this week in Benton, Illinois!

President Trump blames illegal intelligence leaks for the resignation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn.Flynn stepped down this week amid growing questions about links to Russia.
*A man is under arrest after explosive devices were found in his hotel room at the downtown Denver Sheraton Hotel. The Denver Post news article says that man grew up in St. Louis in an upper-middle-class neighborhood. He is an American citizen and former U.S. Marine his name is Adam Hayat.
