*President Donald Trump nominated Neil Gorsuch, a fast-rising conservative judge, to the Supreme Court yesterday, a selection expected to spark a fierce fight with Democrats over a jurist who could shape America's legal landscape for decades to come.
*The group trying to bring a Major League Soccer team to St. Louis officially submitted an application with the league yesterday. The St. Louis Board of Aldermen recently voted to put a proposal on the ballot, which, if approved by voters, would provide public money to fund part of the stadium. A judge must still give a final okay.
*A third wave of bomb threats to at least 13 Jewish Community Centers across the country led to evacuations on yesterday. The latest group of threats were to Jewish centers in 11 states and came in between 10 a.m. and noon on Tuesday.The FBI said in a statement, "The FBI and the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division are investigating possible civil rights violations in connection with threats to Jewish Community Centers across the country. The FBI will collect all available facts and evidence, and will ensure this matter is investigated in a fair, thorough, and impartial manner. As this is matter is ongoing, we are not able to comment further at this time."The threats have led the Anti-Defamation League to work with law enforcement and Jewish groups across the country to prepare, just in case the threats turn into reality.
