*United Airlines lifted a ground stop on all domestic mainline flights from last night after an issue with one of its key communication systems was resolved. United Airlines had grounded all domestic mainline flights Sunday night because of a computer problem.
*Animal rescue groups are calling for people to show up in the color orange tonight to the Florissant City Hall meeting to be a voice against Breed Specific Legislation. There are 13 states that have passed laws prohibiting the passing of breed specific laws. The meeting it tonight at 7pm.
*The size of crowds was big news over the weekend. First, there was a huge controversy over the number of people who attended Donald Trump's inauguration. Then, experts were trying to gauge exactly how many people attended the women's marches, held in Washington, D.C. and other major cities -- even outside the U.S. -- on Saturday.While the numbers for the women's marches around the globe has yet to be tallied, a pair of scientists have examined photos and crunched the numbers to see which event drew the larger crowd in D.C. -- the winner, according to those scientists, was the women's march by a landslide.
*At least 18 people were killed on Sunday as a series of brutal storms ripped through the Southeast, destroying houses and knocking down trees and power lines.According to officials, the storms claimed the lives of 14 people in Georgia. On Saturday in southern Mississippi, a tornado hit in and around Hattiesburg, killed four and leaving destruction in its path.Georgia Governor Nathan Deal declared a state of emergency for seven counties.
