Two Senators Want Answers From The FCC About Manhandled Reporter-
Two Democratic senators want to know why a reporter was roughly handled at a press conference about the agency’s Net Neutrality vote.
According to reports, while asking a question after Friday’s FCC press briefing, John Donnelly, a reporter for CQ Roll Call, was blocked and punned to a wall by two FCC security guards when he tried to question Commissioner Michael O’Rielly. Donnelly has said he was held long enough for O’Reilly to make an exit.
Other charges of strong arming people for net neutrality have been leveled about the meeting.
Senators Tom Udall and Maggie Hassan are now calling the FCC on the carpet and demanding answers for the treatment. “Yesterday’s incident at the FCC is not an isolated one and seems to be a part of a larger pattern of hostility towards the press characteristic of this Administration.” They requested a response by Friday the FCC chairman’s description of the event and the FCC’s security policies, an explanation for the security guard’s actions, and an assurance that such incidents “will not happen again.”

Humpback Whale Escapes California Harbor-
Whale watchers are breathing a sigh of relief after a highly unusual situation. A humpback whale was trapped in the Ventura Harbor this weekend and couldn’t figure out how to leave.
Ventura Harbor Master John Higgins said harbor patrol officers were learning as they went, "using acoustic sounds to try to draw the whale out." Higgins says the 35-foot juvenile whale was been stuck in the harbor since around 3 p.m. Saturday, occasionally bumping into boats and docks in its confusion.
Television crews and onlookers gathered quickly to see the first whale that has made it into the harbor. The mammal was not injured and authorities are unsure how it escaped.

Students Walk Out Of Univeristy Graduation In Protest Of Pence’s Appearance-Several students at the University of Notre Dame didn’t receive their diplomas at yesterday's commencement exercises after quietly leaving before a speech by Vice President Mike Pence.
Over a hundred-students signed up for a "Walk-Out-ND" Facebook event to quietly stand up and walk to the exit as the former Indiana governor receives an honorary degree. Organizers say the group is protesting Pence's policies as V-P and governor because they "contradict Catholic social teachings."
In his opening comments, Pence didn't address the walkout, but said he was proud of all the student graduates. He also joked that his mother never expected to see him get a degree at Notre Dame. Though he holds the second-highest office in the land, he says he'll never have a job more important than as a husband and father.
During his speech, Pence took a shot at the political correctness and “tone policing” taking place on campuses across the country, even while praising the school in their handling of students.
In introducing the VP, the university’s president said "political leaders are necessary for society, and we must strive with them to serve the common good."Source: CNN
