What is the Sun Run?
The Sun Run means more to all of us than just one day. It’s a season of raising funds to help our patients and families, connecting as a community, honoring all children and caregivers, and celebrating the incredible lifesaving work you make possible.
We have partnered with Fleet Feet to manage this virtual race. Runners can complete their race on a route of their choosing between Monday, October 4 – Monday, October 11. Fleet Feet will email participants instructions on how to track and submit their race results before this timeframe. Not interested in running or tracking? No problem! You can complete your walk or activity of choice at YOUR pace, when YOU want and where YOU want.
What does it benefit?
Proceeds from The Sun Run benefit The Children’s Fund at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon. This unrestricted support has unlimited potential for impact and ensures that the greatest needs of the hospital are met. In the last three years, your participation in The Sun Run has supported our exceptional clinical care through cutting-edge research, new technology (such as ROSA Robot!), staff education and fellowship programs. We also significantly expanded supportive services like Footprints, The Shining Star School, Child Life, Music Therapy, and community outreach programs such as STARS. Your support makes a big difference.
