Growing up in the 80's I had a sci-fi Geek step-father who actually read the book DUNE and got me interesting in it too. Not going to lie, I really found the sand worms terrifying. Still on the biggest fear list over here. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the release of the newest adaption of Frank Herbert's book DUNE.
“Dune” tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet’s exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence—a commodity capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential—only those who can conquer their fear will survive.
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures' DUNE is directed by Oscar nominee Denis Villeneuve. The film stars Oscar nominee Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Chang Chen, David Dastmalchian, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, with Oscar nominee Charlotte Rampling, with Jason, and Oscar winner Javier Bardem.
The film is slated to be released in theaters on December 18, 2020. Watch the official movie trailer below.
