Tom Hanks Talks to TODAY About Recovery From Coronavirus & His New Movie

Tom Hanks talks to Hoda Kotb on the TODAY show about what it was like to have COVID-19 in Australia, how they were treated and how they are doing now. He also talks about his new movie, 'Greyhound' which will be streaming starting on July 10 on Apple TV+, and how it relates to the current situation. Watch the interview and the movie trailer below.

In a thrilling story inspired by actual events from the Battle of the Atlantic, Tom Hanks stars as a first-time captain who leads a convoy of allied ships carrying thousands of soldiers across the treacherous waters of the “Black Pit” to the front lines of WW2. With no air cover protection for 5 days, the captain and his convoy must battle the surrounding enemy Nazi U-boats in order to give the allies a chance to win the war. The film is directed by Aaron Schneider from a screenplay by Hanks.

Just watching the trailer had me on the edge of my seat. Can't wait to see this one. I just signed up for Apple TV+ one wee free trial. The cost of a subscription is $4.99. I plan to spend Friday night at "the movies" (a.k.a. my sofa) watching a new Tom Hanks movie.
