Freddie Mercury Would Have Turned 73 Today

Farrokh Bulsara was born on September 5, 1946 in Zanzibar. We knew him better as Freddie Mercury, arguable the greatest Rock n' Roll showman ever.

It does my heart good to see Freddie Mercury still top of mind in the music world, especially with a young audience.

The "Bohemian Rhapsody" movie gave new attention to Freddie and his amazing performance at Live Aid in July of 1985. Freddie stole the show that day. He had the crowd and the world in the palm of his hand, even more than his bandmates thought he could.

Freddie Mercury would have turned 73 years old today. To celebrate, it's Queen's performance at Live Aid, when the world belonged to Freddie Mercury.
