When you hear the name "Cedric The Entertainer", you immediately may think of an original "King of Comedy" (Spike Lee Movie, it's great and you should see it if you haven't!). You may think of Def Comedy Jam, or the Lemur Maurice from Madagasgar, or maybe you've been lucky enough to have seen one of his hilarious stand-up routines. Even if you've never seen Cedric, I say the name "Cedric The Entertainer", and for some reason, you've heard of him! That may be due to the fact that Cedric has literally done just about everything a comedian/actor can in a career. However, there is a side of Cedric that many may not know of, and I was honored to interview he and his sister Sharita in the iHeart studios to learn about the big-hearted Cedric and how he quietly has been giving back in a beautiful way.
