In Honor of The Kentucky Derby, The Greatest Horse Race Call Ever

Today is the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. 130,000 Mint Juleps will be enjoyed and $150 Mllion will be wagered at Churchill Downs.

The part of the charm of the race is the colorul names of the horses. Improbable, Maximum Security, and Win, Win, Win are horses that are running today.

The track announcers at horse race tracks have to memorize the horses' numbers with their names and announce the standings of the horses as they circle the track.

In honor of the today's Run for the Roses, we bring you one of the most entertaining race calls of all time.

This race was held at Monmouth Racetrack in Oceanport, New Jersey. Larry Collmus, who is calling today's Kentucky Derby, was the track announcer. Two of the horses in the race are "My Wife Knows Everything" and "The Wife Doesn't Know."

The two horses, of course, led the way down the stretch. The rest is horse race announcing history.
