On this day in 1982, we got the news that John Belushi had died from a drug overdose. Belushi's body was found in Bungalow 3, at the Chateau Marmont Hotel on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles. He had a lethal amount of heroin and cocaine in his system.
John Belushi was an original member of the "Not Ready for Prime Time Players," as the cast members of Saturday Night Live were known.
Belushi was only thirty three years old at the time of his death.
