A Conversation with Denny Laine

Denny Laine, founding member of the Moody Blues and a founding member of Paul McCartney and Wings will play the Wildey Theater in Edwardsville tomorrow night.

Denny has named his tourning band The Moody Wing Band.  They will be performing the entire Wings album "Band on the Run" and the entire debut album by the Moody Blues, "Magnificent Moodies."

I had the pleasure to speak with Denny about his career and his upcoming show at the Wildey.

We spoke about the difference in intensity playing with the Moody Blues and Wings.  "Go Now" was the first single by the Moody Blues in 1964, the same year the Beatles were taking the world by storm.  The quiet success of the Moody Blues constrasted with the sensation of the Beatles (And Wings) is quite a story.

Here is my conversation with Denny Laine and don't miss the Moody Wing Band tomorrow night at the Wildey Theater in Edwardsville.
