Jeff Beck at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater

Great show last night at Hollywood Casino Amphitheater, with Jeff Beck, Paul Rodgers and Ann Wilson.

Last night I felt like I paid back Jeff Beck.  Here's the story.  Years ago Jeff Beck and Stevie Ray Vaughan played Madison Square Garden in New York City.  It was a co-headlining tour and on this night Stevie Ray Vaughan played first.  At the end of his set he said "Thank you very much, see you uptown!"  I said "what does that mean?" I remembered that the Fabulous Thunderbirds, with Stevie Ray's big brother Jimmie,  were playing the Benson and Hedges Blues Festival at the Beacon Theater.  I said to my friends, "Let's go!"  They said "What about Jeff Beck?"  I said "We owe him one."

Madison Square Garden is on 33rd Street and the Beacon is on Broadway at 74th Street.  We took a cab to the Beacon, scalped tickets out front (got third row)  and sure enough Stevie Ray Vaughan played with the T-Birds.

So I got to see Stevie Ray Vaughan twice in one night at two different venues and I finally paid Jeff Beck back by seeing him last night and he was awesome!!

This is how Jeff Beck finished his night last night, with "Goin' Down"
