Joan was found in East St. Louis as a stray and her eye was badly injured. Upon rescued they discovered a broken knife in her eye. She was abused but she acted like nothing happened, she wasn't scared of humans at all! She was so sweet when they rescued her and brought her to the vet, they had to sedate her just to examine her because she has such a happy wiggly butt and wouldn't stop wagging her tail. She LOVES people and just wants to be by people non stop. She is dog friendly and would be good with older kids because we don't want her to knock over little ones when she gets extra silly!
She is a strong, medium energy girl that she weighs about 50 lbs.
When she's not playing and having fun with toys or getting exercise on walks, she LOVES belly rubs and snuggling with humans.
