Zodiac Killer Evidence DNA Is Sent For Genetic Testing -

Lead detectives in a high-profile serial killer case are hoping new genetic technology can help identify a suspect.

The hope is that the envelopes he licked closed years ago contains DNA that could be identified, much like how the Golden State Killer suspect was caught. The ID was made thanks to a genealogy site match.

The Zodiac Killer is suspected of committing at least 12 slayings and 46 rapes in California between 1976 and 1986. The results are expected in a few weeks.
