Church Holds “Beyonce Mass” And It Was Packed -

A Church in San Francisco tried something new and it really worked.

Grace Episcopal Cathedral opened its doors for a Beyonce mass including a sermon based on the San Francisco Theological Seminary’s Beyonce and The Hebrew Bible course.

Over 900 people showed up for the unique service. Music for the mass featured Beyoncé and her former group Destiny’s Child, starting with the girl group’s hit “Survivor.” Logan McWilliams sang “Listen” from the film “Dreamgirls” with an expanded version of the Vine choir and band. The church was lit up in rock concert lighting.

The good news is, the idea much like Beyonce’s songs, was a hit.

*Double Dare - Nickelodeon is rebooting classic kids’ game show Double Dare (again) this summer with a 40-episode order. Nick has yet to announce a host or other talent, though the Viacom cable channel says its new version will “feature appearances from blasts from the past, long-time Double Dare fans and stars from today.” In case you missed the ’80s and ’90s game show or its 2000 revival, Double Dare features two teams competing to win prizes by answering brain-bending trivia questions, completing messy, physical stunts and ultimately facing the infamous obstacle course: The human hamster wheel, the classic gigantic mouth, the wringer and the iconic Double Dare nose, per Nick’s official description.
