James Franco's old high school is ridding itself of everything related to its famous alum.

Palo Alto High School in California has removed all of Franco's artwork which had been prominently displayed throughout the school. The decision to remove his artwork was made after allegations of sexual assault were made against him. The school's superintendent says removing the artwork "is in the best interests of our students in light of our educational mission."

Franco has maintained close ties with his old school since graduating in 1996. He's made multiple contributions to its arts program and returns often to speak with students.

Recording Academy Announces Task Force To Stop Being “#GrammysSoMale -

The backlash at the Recording Academy has not fallen on deaf ears.

Academy president Neil Portnow, who as we told you, unwisely said women need to step up to get awards is continuing his apology tour. Late yesterday, he announced “The Recording Academy is establishing an independent task force to review every aspect of what we do as an organization … to overcome the explicit barriers and unconscious biases that impede female advancement in the music community.”

Portnow also said he’d like to “make it right.” The statement concluded with the GRAMMY show runner noting I appreciate that the issue of gender bias needs to be addressed in our industry, and share in the urgency to attack it head on. We as an organization, and I as its leader, pledge our commitment to doing that.”

Jennifer Lopez finds herself in a sticky situation. At the same time that the co-founder of Guess is accused of sexual harassment, she’s launching the Spring collection as the face of Guess.

Without mentioning Paul Marciano by name, J-Lo said yesterday, (quote) “I do not condone any acts of sexual harassment, violation, or misconduct. Any accusations should be fully and thoroughly investigated. I will continue to support our rights as women.” (US Weekly)

Kate Upton, who was the face of Guess when just a teenager, tweeted Wednesday, (quote) “Paul Marciano shouldn’t be allowed to use his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women.”

When confronted, Marciano didn’t deny Kate’s allegation, rather he told TMZ, (quote) “If she has a claim, there’s one place to tell the truth and that’s in court or to the police.”
