North and South Korea had a major diplomatic breakthrough overnight and it had nothing to do with nuclear weapons, but everything to do with figure skating.

The neighboring countries held their first talks in more than two years and in the end, North Korea announced it is sending a full delegation to the Winter Olympics in South Korea next month including athletes and high-ranking officials. Two North Korean figure skaters have already qualified for the games. The decision still needs the approval of the International Olympic Committee in Geneva because North Korea missed the deadline to register for the games. Did President Trump mess up the words to the National Anthem:

President Donald Trump has been very critical about NFL players kneeling during the National Anthem, but now he’s getting a lot of backlash over the song. It seems folks took to social media to mock him after it appeared he flubbed the words to the song during his televised appearance at the National Championship game between Alabama and Georgia in Atlanta last night.

“It looked like Donald Trump just kept repeating “applesauce” during the National Anthem. #NationalChampionship,” writer Tony Posnanskiwrote, while another person added, "Trump spent months railing against black NFL players peacefully demonstrating during our national anthem, only for it to be shown that he doesn’t even know the words to our national anthem… that really just ties it all up neatly with bow, doesn’t it?"

*Alabama won its fifth national title over the Georgia Bulldogs that finished in overtime and a 26-23 victory.

The Crimson Tide pulled it out when backup quarterback Tua Tagovailoa connected with DeVonta Smithfor a 41-yard touchdown pass in overtime.

Tagovailoa was called into the game in the second half when Saban benched started Jalen Hurts after a poor first half. It turned out to be the correct call, as Tagovailoa tied the game at 20-20 with his second touchdown pass on fourth and four with less than four minutes left in the game.

The defeat had to be hard on the Bulldogs, who had a 13-0 lead at halftime. (Yahoo! Sports)
