UPS Expects At Least 6-Million Post Holiday Returns In First Week Of 2018

Package carriers are expecting a brisk business today with United Parcel Service expecting this to be a record-setting week for returns.  Shoppers are increasingly turning to United Parcel Service and FedEx to send back unwanted merchandise after Christmas.  As Americans head back to work, they'll drop off their unwanted returns along the way.

Consumers are expected to take back 90-billion-dollars' worth of gifts this holiday season.  The chief commercial officer for UPS says e-commerce has changed when and how consumers return gifts.  UPS says it expects to process six-million returns this week and about one-point-four-million returns on just Wednesday alone.
