Congratulations to late night host James Corden, who took paternity leave only 30 minutes before show time.

Harry Styles of One Direction stepped in as the emergency guest host. He announced to the studio audience (quote) “This is very exciting. Matt Lauer’s departure may have been the best thing to happen to the Today show.

For the second straight week since the co-host's termination for sexual misconduct, the morning show has been number-one in the ratings, beating out reigning champ Good Morning America.

Today drew an average of nearly 4.58 million viewers overall, while GMA brought in nearly 4.38 million overall.

For now, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb are co-anchoring Today.

CBS This Morning, which fired Charlie Rose over sexual misconduct charges, hasn't seen a bump in viewership. They're in third place with 3.57 million viewers, according to Nielsen. (Page Six)
