Prince Harry Announces Engagement-
Britain's royal family is growing.
Prince Harry is engaged to American actress Meghan Markle. He released a statement saying he was “delighted to announce” the engagement. Kensington Palace then confirmed the news overnight, with word that the wedding will take place in the spring of 2018.
Prince Charles’ statement said plans for the nuptials would be revealed “in due course.” Other family reaction included the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh saying they were "delighted for the couple and wish them every happiness" and Prince William and Kate Middleton, saying they were "very excited for Harry and Meghan", adding: "It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together."
The couple has been dating since last year and made it “official” in September by stepping out in public together for the first time.
