The Air Force revealed on Monday that it did not enter Texas church shooter Devin Kelley's domestic violence court-martial into a federal database that should have prevented him from buying the rifle he used to murder 26 people.

According to federal law, Kelley's conviction for domestic assault on his wife and young stepson should have made it impossible for him to legally purchase the military-type rifle and a trio of other guns he bought in the last four years.

The Air Force said in a statement, "The Air Force has launched a review of how the service handled the criminal records of former Airman Devin P. Kelley following his 2012 domestic violence conviction."

According to the statement, Air Force secretary Heather Wilson and Air Force chief of staff General David Goldfein have asked the Air Force inspector general to "conduct a complete review of the Kelley case."

Outage Leaves Thousands Without Internet-

A big swath of the country was without internet yesterday

Comcast’s Xfinity service was out along the Northeast as well as other parts of the country for hours. The problem stemmed from internet services provider Level 3.

While the official downtime was 90 minutes, some locations where without internet access for over four hours. The problems weren’t limited to just Comcast customers, though. Other internet service providers including Spectrum, Verizon, and AT&T showed a spike in connectivity issues, too, but they were not as widespread. It’s unclear if Level 3 was the culprit in those outages.

Bail Situation Is Still Not Firm In Manafort/Gates Arrest-

Former Trump campaign chief Paul Manafort and associate Rick Gates are still confined to their homes with GPS monitoring devices.

Judge Amy Berman Jackson kept the order in place during a status hearing yesterday. Special Counsel Robert Mueller [[ MULL-er ]] recently obtained indictments against the two men on a variety of charges involving conspiracy and money laundering. Mueller is investigating Russia's influence in the 2016 presidential election.

Before she lifts the home confinement order, the judge wants a firm deal involving the disclosure of assets and bail money. Manafort’s lawyer requested the hearing saying his client would be happy to offer any of his homes as collateral for bail and that his client isn’t a flight risk.

The judge placed both defendants in the High Intensity Supervision Program which she believes they are indeed a flight risk. The next hearing is December 11.
