Donna Karan Apologizes Over Weinstein Comment-

Fashion designer Donna Karan is feeling the heat from social media.

Sunday, Karan was doing a red carpet interview and called Harvey Weinstein and his wife Georgina Chapman “wonderful” people and that the issue wasn’t with Harvey himself. She went on.

“How do we display ourselves? How do we present ourselves as women? What are we asking?” she said. “Are we asking for it by presenting all the sensuality and sexuality?” The designer continued, “You look at everything all over the world today, how women are dressing and what they’re asking by just presenting themselves the way they do. What are they asking for? Trouble.”

That’s when it hit the fan online… Even Rose McGowan, one of the women named in the New York Times exposé, called out Karan for her comments in a tweet. “Donna Karan you are a DEPLORABLE Aiding and abetting is a moral crime,” she wrote. “You are scum in a fancy dress.”

Karan then sent out the obligatory apology yesterday. “My statements were taken out of context and do not represent how I feel about the current situation concerning Harvey Weinstein. I believe that sexual harassment is NOT acceptable and this is an issue that MUST be addressed once and for all regardless of the individual.”

Safelite Autoglass Responds To “SNL” Skit-

A company is defending its workers after a skit on “Saturday Night Live” went too far.

The segment portrayed a Safelite Autoglass worker as creepy, so on Sunday the autoglass installation company tweeted “@nbcsnl thanks for the skit. Although we can take a joke, this one was a step too far. Our techs are our heroes. #notcool.”

Safelite also found itself telling commenters that it was in no way involved in the skit. "We weren't involved in creating it (the segment) and we're really disappointed in @NBCSNL for airing it."
