TRENDIN' OJ has been released from prison

There's bad news for Sex and the City fans. The long-awaited third movie is not happening after all -- and it may be Kim Cattrall's fault.

Sarah Jessica Parker burst everyone's bubble yesterday when she told Extra, "It’s over...we’re not doing it." She added, "I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."

According to The Daily Mail, the film was about three weeks away from the start of shooting when it was shelved. Word is that Cattrall's outrageous demands were the problem. She reportedly refused to do the movie unless Warner Brothers agreed to produce other movies she had in development.

American Idol producers have their man. TMZ reports that Lionel Richie has finally agreed to be a judge.

Lionel will join Katy Perry and Luke Bryan when auditions start in just a few days. But the show's talent budget is well back in the rear-view mirror. Katy is getting $25 million, Luke is reportedly getting $13 million, show host Ryan Seacrest is getting $15 million, and Lionel is said to be getting $10 million.

American Idol will premiere on ABC next year, likely in March.

  • Lionel is getting the least money of the judges, and he is arguably the biggest star of them.

O.J. Simpson was released from prison Sunday after serving nine years behind bars. BUT he still owes millions of dollars in the wake of a 1997 civil lawsuit, in which he was found liable for the wrongful deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman, and he was ordered to pay $33.5 million in damages to the survivors’ families.

BUT Simpson will probably be quite comfortable financially because of pensions that may pay out more than $25,000 per month — funds that aren’t subject to seizure by creditors.

He lived in Florida before his 2008 conviction, but now the state's attorney general doesn't want him back.

Hugh Hefner was laid to rest Saturday at L.A.'s Westwood Village Memorial Park.

TMZ says Hef's four children, his wife Crystal Harris and some key Playboy staffers attended the small funeral

Hef, who died at the age of 91 on Wednesday, was buried next to Marilyn Monroe. He bought the plot for $75K in 1992.

The cemetery has plenty of other famous names -- including Farrah Fawcett, Dean Martin, Zsa Zsa Gabor and Rodney Dangerfield.
