Things to do around the LOU

The St. Louis Renaissance Festival is a long-standing event that brings you the adventure, excitement, and spirit of the Renaissance! Travel back in time as you step into the beautifully wooded, 16th century French village! There are Jousting Knights, village shoppes with crafts, blacksmiths, woodworkers, nine stages of non-stop entertainment! Children will love the petting zoo, games, and daily free activities. Adults will enjoy beer, wine, and mead at our three thematic pubs! There is truly something for everyone at the St. Louis Renaissance Festival! 

The Renaissance Festival is open weekends 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through October 15.

The APA's Canine Carnival celebrates the bond between people and their pets! Be part of the Carnival where the dogs play the games and win great prizes. Bring your pooches and join the APA Adoption Center for the festivities:

- Dog-related "carnival" games- Live music- The Canine Court- Educational children's activities & games- Exhibitor booths- Food trucks- More prizes than you can shake a stick at- & TONS of dogs to see!

*The Biergarten at the Anheuser-Busch St. Louis Brewery and Tour Center will host their third annual Oktoberfest through Sunday, Oct. 1.  Throughout the celebration, guests can dine from a special menu full of traditional Oktoberfest favorites, including Bavarian pretzels, potato pancakes and schnitzel. Guests can also listen to German music, play authentic Oktoberfest games and of course enjoy a tasty beer.

*Franklin County Humane Society has "Wine, Whiskers & Wags" on SATURDAY at the Robler Vineyard & Winery in New Haven, Missouri.  It starts at 4:30 and runs until the live auction items are gone. *Fright Fest® is back at Six Flags St. Louis!  The World’s Largest Halloween party takes place five weekends beginning Friday, September 29 and has been expanded to include October 30 and 31 this season.  Haunted mazes, Scare Zones, Halloween themed shows, kids’ attractions, zombies, freaks and elaborate decorations transform the theme park into a scream park.


*Faye Fest Music and Food Festival is September 30, 2017, Fayetteville, Illinois.  The entertainment lineup is Americana rock band Jamestown Revival, with country-soul artist Sam Lewis, bluegrass group Old Salt Union, rockers The Steepwater Band and regional favorite Well Hungarians!


"Q in the Lou" happens this weekend at Kiener Plaza, entry is free there will be BBQ, beer, VIP experiences and LIVE music!
