Jack Sheldon, the Voice of "I'm Just a Bill," Dies at 88

Jack Sheldon was a well acclaimed jazz singer and trumpeter, musical director of the Merv Griffin Show for 18 years and the voice of School House Rock's "I'm Just a Bill" and "Conjuction Junction."

Sheldon released 27 albums during his career and recorded with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Tom Waits and The Monkees.

An entire generation of kids were introduced to his voice through the classic "School House Rocks!" series. Sheldon parodied his "School House Rocks!" performances on episodes of "The Simpsons" and "Family Guy."

Jack Sheldon was 88 years old.
