138 dogs and cats displaced by Hurricane Irma were flown from Saint John & Saint Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands to Florida and then 14 of those dogs were driven to Stray Rescue of St. Louis!
Kenny Chesney, whose home in Saint John was destroyed by Hurricane Irma, paid for the fuel in the private jet that flew the animals to Florida. This is the 3rd time Chesney has helped rescue animals from the island as many families had to flee as the Category 5 hurricanes approached.
